The new Hope Inclusion Cafe and Play is open for business! Hope vocational students run all the day to day activities of both Hope Cafe’s. They gain knowledge and experience in customer service, food preparation, baking, and preparing orders. We are preparing our students for competitive employment opportunities as adults in their communities and we are having fun while doing it! Stop in today, have a bite to eat, watch our vocational program in action, and let your kids burn off some energy in our indoor sensory playground!

In 1957, the very first Hope School for Blind Children was founded right here in Springfield, Illinois! Dr. & Mrs. Jordan had searched the world over for a place to educate their daughter, Judith Ann, who had multiple disabilities. They knew that their daughter, and other children like her, deserved a chance to reach their fullest potential, and live a life of joy, just like their peers. They created Hope. Over the past 60 years, Hope has continued to help children and their families reach optimum growth, independence, and joy. Thank you for being a part of our history!
