Executive Staff

Clint Paul

CPA, President and Chief Executive Officer
Clint W. Paul is a Licensed Certified Public Accountant who has a Bachelor of Science – Finance degree from Illinois State University and also attended Elmhurst College and Bradley University in the Master’s program for accounting to successfully complete his CPA. Additionally, he has a Graduate Certificate in Non-Profit Management from the University of Illinois – Chicago. Mr. Paul currently serves as the President and CEO of The Hope Institute. Prior to joining Hope, he served as Controller for Bunn Capitol Company from 2003 to 2007 and while there directly managed the accounting, finance, customer service, and jointly oversaw the human resources area for a $130M plus food service distribution company. From 2007 to 2009 he was the Director of Finance and Controlling for Flexitech, Inc., directing and coordinating the company’s financial affairs for a $60M Manufacturing and Assembly Plant. From 2009 to 2014 he served as the Chief Financial Officer for The Hope Institute for Children and Families, directing all aspects of the finance, accounting, business, facilities, and technology functions for the Institute. He has led implementation of improved financial reporting, strengthened the financial strength of the company over 4 years by increasing operating reserves over 400%, and successfully led the construction of Hope’s newest group home as well as the purchase and opening of three additional homes. Mr. Paul also served as Interim CEO, responsible for the entire Institute operation from October 2011 to March 2013. During that time, he oversaw the completion of Hope’s residential conversion from a child care institute to a children’s group home model on campus, statewide expansion of the Illinois Crisis Prevention Network, development of a new vocational program with regional school districts, opening of the Noll Vocational Center and a successful contract renewal for Hope’s school in Chicago.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Amanda Brott

Chief Operating Officer

Amanda J. Brott is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and graduate of Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis and Therapy. Amanda began work at Hope as a Behavior Analyst in the summer of 2005.  In this role, Amanda worked with children on overcoming problematic behavior as well as teaching them more appropriate alternative behaviors.  In her tenure at Hope, Amanda has held several positions.  These diverse roles within the organization have provided her the opportunity to immerse herself in all aspects of Hope; ensuring that we continue to provide leading edge care to the children we serve. She currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Hope.

Prior to joining Hope, Ms. Brott served from 2002-2004 as director of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale’s Touch of Nature Environmental Center Camp Little Giant which provides educational and recreational opportunities for community members, including adults and children with developmental disabilities. She analyzed behaviors at The Columbus Organization in Memphis, TN, from 2004-2005 before working as adjunct professor at MacMurray College in Jacksonville, IL. Since 2005, she has also served as a private consultant to help families care for children diagnosed with autism. Amanda is a published author with numerous papers in Behavioral Interventions and the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis. Amanda regularly presents lectures to families, school districts, and professionals on teaching strategies, basic behavioral strategies, function of behavior, and characteristics of autism.

Ms. Brott is responsible for overseeing daily operations in our Academy Programs.   These include the Residential Academy, Learning Academy, Vocational Academy, and all clinical/supporting services including medical, behavioral health, quality assurance, health information, case management, and recreation. She is committed to ensuring youth and staff safety through increased collaboration among Hope staff members from multiple departments. With a strong commitment to professional development, Ms. Brott understands that the programming is only as good as the employee providing the program.  To that end, Amanda is dedicated to encouraging employees to become leaders themselves by offering support and magnifying their strengths. She is known for her unique humor and empathic nature, which results in her quickly forming close bonds with employees, students, and their families. She lives in Springfield and enjoys spending time with her young children Sam and Matilda.


 

 

 

 

 

 

Kristi Kramp

Chief Human Resources Officer
Kristi Kramp began her career in Human Resources at Hope in 2005. She has held several different roles in HR, beginning her career as a Human Resources intern and transitioning into other roles, such as Compliance Specialist, Human Resources Manager, Director of Human Resources, and Assistant Chief Human Resources Officer. She has also gained invaluable experience as the Human Resources Manager for the City of Springfield. Kristi has a great passion for the children and employees of Hope and works diligently to make sure that all are treated with fairness, compassion, and respect. Ms. Kramp was born and raised in Springfield and graduated from Lanphier High School. She received her Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Illinois State University in Normal, IL in 2005. She enjoys spending time with her family, camping, hiking, fishing and listening to music.

David Stanko

David Stanko

Chief Financial Officer

David brings extensive experience managing the finance, accounting, and IT functions for multiple start-up and high growth businesses.   Prior to joining Hope, David served as CFO for Eudora Global from 2004 to 2010, where he oversaw financial operations for a group of venture capital, start-up, and early stage businesses.  From 2010 to 2015, he served as CFO for Trans Coastal Supply Company, a $500M agricultural commodity export company.  At Trans Coastal, David focused on process improvement, which led to substantial gains in financial and operational efficiency.  David holds an MBA in finance and a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Leigh Grannan

Director, The Autism Clinic at Hope

Leigh Grannan serves as Director for The Autism Clinic at Hope, located in Springfield, Edwardsville, and Maryville, IL and St. Louis, MO. Leigh, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, earned a Master of Science in Behavior Analysis and Therapy from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2004. She worked as a Clinical Instructor and School Coordinator for eight years at The Autism Program of IL at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. There she collaborated with the program’s Speech-Language Pathologist to provide supervision to graduate students in the Behavior Analysis and Therapy and Communication Disorders and Sciences programs. In addition to clinic therapy services, she supervised graduate students providing consultation services in area schools. Leigh is a graduate of the Illinois Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (LEND) training program. She has conducted research in language acquisition with children with ASD and is trained in administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – 2nd Edition. Leigh has provided didactic trainings on a number of topics including challenging behavior, toilet training, and supporting students with ASD in the classroom.
