Dr. Andrea Lacayo, a pediatric dentist, awoke to a ringing phone on March 13th and the voice of WGN Radio’s Jonathon Brandmeier as he informed her that she had won the first early bird drawing in the Chicago Dream House Raffle. As the winner, she had the choice between $25,000 or a Mini Cooper, Toyota Prius or Ford Mustang. She chose the money, but doesn’t intend to go on vacation or a shopping spree.

“Since I have my own business, I will pay some people I owe money to,” Lacayo says.

Lacayo purchased her $150 raffle ticket in time for the first early bird drawing and will be eligible for subsequent drawings, as well as the grand prize. The raffle has two more early bird drawings with deadlines of March 29 and April 26. Individuals who purchase tickets before March 29th will be eligible for the the next early bird drawing for $5,000 or the choice of trips to 5 luxury destinations, in addition to be entered into the third early bird drawing.

Individuals can purchase their tickets for a chance at the dream house, along with 1200 other prizes, including cars, vacations and jewelry at www.chicagoraffle.com. The deadline for the grand prize drawing for the Chicago Dream House Raffle is set for May 24. Entrants have a chance to win a beautiful $2.45 million dream home or $1.5 million cash.
